to lead and support the design, development, implementation, and optimization of automation systems across various projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring seamless integration of automated processes that improve efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
Lead automation projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget are met.
Develop project timelines, coordinate with stakeholders, and provide regular updates to management.
System Design & Development:
Design and implement automation solutions including PLC, HMI, SCADA, robotics, and motion control systems.
Work with cross-functional teams to develop system architectures and detailed design specifications.
Programming & Integration:
Program and configure industrial control systems (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, ABB, Schneider Electric).
Integrate automation equipment with existing manufacturing systems and enterprise software (MES, ERP).
Testing & Commissioning:
Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) and SAT (Site Acceptance Testing).
Troubleshoot and resolve issues during installation and commissioning phases.
Documentation & Compliance:
Prepare technical documentation including wiring diagrams, control narratives, and validation protocols.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze system performance and identify areas for optimization.
Support Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives through automation enhancements.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in automation engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.)
Experience with HMI/SCADA systems.
Experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), including configuration, commissioning, and maintenance.
Preferred Skills:
Project management certification (PMP or equivalent)
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
Combination of office and plant floor environments
Occasional travel may be required for project execution or vendor coordination
