Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination:

Collaborate with the design and construction teams to develop MEP system designs. Prepare and review project plans, schedules, and budgets for the MEP aspects of the project. Ensure MEP systems are integrated into the overall project plans and timelines.

Design & Documentation:

Review and approve MEP drawings and designs to ensure compliance with standards and regulations. Coordinate with design consultants and contractors for MEP system integration and modifications. Prepare technical documentation, including specifications, BOQs (Bill of Quantities), and material procurement lists.

Site Supervision & Quality Control:

Supervise MEP installation on-site and ensure work is carried out as per the approved designs and quality standards. Monitor site safety and ensure all work is conducted following the health and safety regulations. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is progressing as per schedule and resolving any issues that arise.

Procurement & Vendor Management:

Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement of MEP materials and equipment. Review and approve MEP-related vendor proposals, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with specifications. Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality standards are met.

Testing & Commissioning:

Oversee the testing, commissioning, and handover of MEP systems to clients. Conduct system checks and inspections to ensure all systems are functioning as per the specifications. Ensure proper training of client staff for the operation and maintenance of MEP systems.

Cost Control & Reporting:

Monitor and control project costs related to MEP systems. Prepare regular progress reports and project documentation for management and clients. Ensure the project stays within budget, providing early warning of potential cost overruns.

Compliance & Regulatory:

Ensure MEP systems comply with local building codes, environmental laws, and other regulatory requirements. Keep up to date with industry trends, standards, and best practices.
