Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer( CIVIL) to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and executing complex projects, ensuring technical excellence and adherence to deadlines. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on innovative system designs and utilise advanced engineering tools within a collaborative environment. Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CAD software, and experience with system design and control systems.

Duties

Lead the design, development, and realisation of engineering projects, ensuring technical specifications are met. Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and develop effective solutions. Utilise simulation tools such as Simulink and MATLAB to model and analyse system performance. Develop and interpret schematics, circuit diagrams, and CAD drawings using SolidWorks and other CAD software. Programme and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise automation processes. Apply GD&T principles to ensure precise manufacturing tolerances and quality standards. Design control systems using LabVIEW and system design methodologies to enhance operational efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and software components. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for project stakeholders.

Requirements

Proven experience in system design, control systems, or related engineering fields. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks and general schematic development. Strong knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, and PLC programming. Solid understanding of GD&T standards and mechanical principles. Experience with root cause analysis techniques for troubleshooting complex issues. Familiarity with schematics creation and interpretation for electrical or mechanical systems. Mechanical knowledge relevant to system integration and component selection. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. A recognised engineering qualification (e.g., BEng or MEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering).
