Maxima is hiring a technically proficient and detail-oriented
Project Engineer
to manage and support
Instrumentation Installation and Commissioning
activities. The role involves technical planning, site coordination, execution supervision, and commissioning of field instrumentation and control systems in industrial projects, ensuring all work meets design, quality, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and interpret project specifications, P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrument datasheets for instrumentation works.
Plan and coordinate installation activities for instruments, cabling, junction boxes, and panels with site teams and contractors.
Supervise and verify installation work to ensure compliance with design and QA/QC standards.
Conduct pre-commissioning and commissioning activities including loop checks, functional testing, signal verification, and calibration.
Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams for technical discussions, issue resolutions, and approvals.
Prepare and maintain documentation including inspection checklists, test reports, red-marked drawings, and commissioning logs.
Assist in preparing Installation & Testing Procedures (ITPs), method statements, and work packs.
Monitor site progress, material requirements, and support the Project Manager in ensuring timely execution.
Identify technical issues during installation/commissioning and provide practical engineering solutions.
Ensure adherence to HSE standards throughout project execution.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Instrumentation / Electrical / Electronics Engineering.
1-2 years of experience in site execution and commissioning of industrial instrumentation systems.
Experience with a variety of instruments (pressure, flow, level, temperature), control valves, and PLC/DCS integration.
Familiarity with control panel wiring, cable routing, and termination practices.
Experience in industries such as oil & gas, water treatment, power, chemicals, or pharmaceuticals preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong technical understanding of instrumentation and control systems.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documents.
Proficiency in loop checking, calibration tools, and field troubleshooting.
Good coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
Ability to lead small site teams and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Computer literacy (MS Office, AutoCAD, or similar).
Working Conditions:
Willingness to travel and stay at project sites as required.
Field-oriented role with involvement in both office and site environments.
Must be comfortable working in industrial and construction conditions.
