Role Overview

We are seeking a

Project Engineer - EV Conversion

to manage end-to-end conversion of diesel-operated material handling equipment into battery-powered electric vehicles.
This role involves close coordination with

customers, vendors, and internal teams

to ensure

on-time monthly deliveries

and support

new EV development projects

Key ResponsibilitiesVendor & Parts Coordination

Coordinate with EV component vendors and suppliers Collect technical drawings, specifications, test data, and compliance documents Provide technical feasibility inputs for sourcing decisions Act as the single engineering point of contact for vendors Develop and maintain a strong vendor base with the purchase team

Customer Coordination

Provide regular project status updates to customers Ensure timely receipt of old machines from customers Follow up on customer responsibilities to meet delivery timelines

Project Management & Internal Coordination

Track and report progress of each machine to management Prepare and execute weekly and monthly project plans Ensure projects are delivered within budget and timelines Share purchase forecasts and requisitions with procurement Coordinate logistics for vehicle and component movement Coordinate with accounts for vendor payments, invoicing, and customer receivables

Documentation & Technical Support

Maintain electrical documentation, wiring diagrams, and trial reports Clearly communicate risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders Support basic EV compliance and safety documentation Maintain structured before-and-after vehicle photo records Knowledge of EV component import processes is an added advantage

Required SkillsTechnical Skills

Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems Hands-on experience with EVs, hybrid vehicles, or electric industrial equipment Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics (preferred)

Soft Skills

Strong communication and coordination abilities Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Proactive ownership and follow-up mindset Structured problem-solving approach Comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving development environments

Experience & Education

5-7 years of experience in Automotive, EV, Material Handling, or Electrical Engineering roles Experience in EV conversion, retrofitting, or prototype development is a strong plus Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automotive Engineering, or related fields EV certifications or relevant project experience preferred
