TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR MEP ENGINEER Roles and Responsibilities i. Shall Report to GPO and DPM, work closely with the HO design team, MEP Coordinator, and MEP engineers at the site advising, guiding and intervening where ever needed to resolve issues at the site. ii. Assist the Design Team in providing critical inputs related to design of components such as HVAC, ICT, ELV, Electrical and Plumbing iii. Assist GPO and DPM in preparing a MEP monitoring, Quality Assurance (QA) & Quality Control (QC) framework applicable to MEP works implemented on the ground. The framework should take reference from the broad guideline listed in the GI's Quality Assurance Guideline iv. Shall ensure timely delivery of solutions in providing technical details and expert inputs wherever required by the site MEP team during execution. v. Supervise, monitor progress of MEP works of contractors executing projects at the site in line with specifications provided in the contract. vi. Assist and supervise the MEP team at the sites in undertaking smoothly both departmentally and outsourced MEP works works related to HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and ICT. vii. Shall advice and assist in planning, scheduling and in the supervision of the MEP works implementation viii. Shall clarify/provide detail information required by the site MEP team during implementation of MEP work for both inhouse and also in terms of the design provided by the consultants (International and local) ix. Shall lead the testing and commissioning of all MEP services installed at the project site to ensure the quality and reliability; x. Coordinate and conduct technical coordination meeting with the inhouse and contractor's team to discuss review progress, MEP engineer shall lead the technical meeting to clarify all the technical issues raised by the site MEP team related to MEP works. xi. Advice and assist in preparing project closure reports for each activity xii. Shall engage and train local graduates (engineers & technicians) on the job both during the design and construction execution. The objective of this arrangement is to engage local graduates to make them learn on the job. At the end of the project, a good number of experienced MEP engineers and technicians will be available to take similar specialized jobs in the industry. xiii. Assist in verification of contractors' claims (Running Bills or Advances). Cross check measurements and entries to ensure it is as per the contract bill of quantities. Others i. Shall be responsible to ensure that all processes are aligned with the requirement of the Gyalsung Infra; ii. Shall prepare appropriate monitoring plan for all MEP services and execute effectively; iii. Ensure that highest level of accountability and integrity are upheld for execution of the project; iv. Shall be required to prepare reports on monthly basis for each site with the support from the MEP engineers at site, prepare operation and maintenance manual and as built drawings. v. Shall maintain records and documentation of the design and critical technical inputs in the overall MEP works of Gyalsung Infra. Place of Posting, Qualification and Experience o Place of posting is at one of the project sites - one of the Academy construction sites. o The minimum qualifications and competence for the assignment: o Bachelors Degree/Diploma with 10~15 years experience in MEP (HVAC, Plumbing Electrical and ICT ) Engineering (minimum of 3 projects substantial volume) with adequate knowledge and experience in construction management and field experience - 5 nos o A signed CV with passport size photographs shall be submitted for each key personnel and certified copy of Degree(s) or Diploma(s) shall be attached with the CV.
