Summary:
This position operates within the WI Treatment segment and is responsible for the technical execution and supporting the commercial aspects of Xylem's wastewater treatment solutions. With a specific focus on aeration and blower technologies sometimes combined in to combined product offerings with additional Xylem products included such as mixers, instrumentation and control panels for biological processes. The role collaborates closely with the WI Treatment Application Engineering and Sales Support Teams to promote, size, and support technical solutions related to, predominantly, the Sanitaire (aeration, Turbomax blowers, Taron) brand, contributing to the successful execution of projects for our customer base across the industrial and municipal utility markets.
Essential duties/Main responsibility:Responsible for all Technical scopes of a project Involved in commercial aspects of a project Production of design deliverables such as datasheets, drawings, proposal documents, Material submittal documents. Review specifications and drawings to ensure that scope is implemented in line with best practice and with the contract specification. Equipment selection Working with suppliers to obtain quotations, place orders, fulfil contracts, including activities such as FATs. Review of supplier documentation and drawings to ensure they fulfil the contract requirements and are in accordance with Xylem and other relevant design codes and specifications Help to maintain and improve contract margins Support other functions as required such as Sales Support/Application engineering, Product management, R&D and Aftermarket using expert product knowledge and project experience to develop future sales and product opportunities. Attend client sites/offices to carry out investigation, preparation, clarification, progression and installation of proposals and contracts as required Ensure that all work carried out complies with established Company policies and procedures/Code of Conduct. Adhere to company processes, quality standards, and company safety programs Accountable for adhering to project document control processes and to ensure project files are complete for future reference. Is the Project Manager's delegate. Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, promoting awareness of Sanitaire and Flygt solutions and contributing to their technical and commercial market positioning Participate in local and regional Corporate Social Responsibility (Watermark) activities To undertake any other duties as and when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy customer needs.

Key Relationships:External: clients, consultants, technical and scientific collaborators Internal: + Europe and Emerging Markets: WI Treatment colleagues, Direct Sales Network, Application Engineers and Engineering, WI Transport Operations (Order Execution and Customer Service), MarCom (Marketing & Communication)
+ Europe and Emerging Markets: Product Management



Required qualifications:Master's Degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline. Examples: Environmental Engineering, Hydraulic Engineering, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Physics Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role Proven experience in design and process aspects related to environmental/sanitary engineering

Additional information:

In-depth knowledge of water treatment processes, particularly wastewater treatment Strong understanding of biological secondary treatment technologies Good understanding of other engineering disciplines related to biological oxidation products in order to effectively interface with other product specialists

Soft Skills:Strong communication, reasoning, and presentation skills Ability to work collaboratively in a structured multinational environment Excellent time management and prioritization skills Fluent in spoken and written English (other languages an advantage) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Standard weekly working hours: as per Company policy

Travel requirement:

Ready to travel at customer places on short notice within and outside India.*
Ready to travel abroad for customer meet or for training for Xylem products*

Work location:
Candidate must be ready to locate to Pune location if from other part of India.
