You will be working as Project Engineer- Automation & Drives, Metals and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Your responsibilities Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments and providing technical support for testing, installation, commissioning activities and preparing project documentation within one\'s scope of deliverables Finalizing \'Fail-Safe Philosophy\' and other key concepts as part of kickoff and designing freeze meetings. Actively participating in project meetings and resolves any outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations. Assisting in preparing proposal or presentation of engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.) and open to travel as an when required as per the business need. Applying basic design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, actively utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines. Contributing and sharing experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, processes and sharing best practices Using standard processes and tools applicable to one\'s area of responsibility and ensuring that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reporting processes and tools inefficiencies and suggesting improvements ideas Supporting technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for one\'s projects, reporting any contract or safety or quality or program or cost issues to project managers for resolution Your background Diploma or B.tech or B.E in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics engineering Minimum 3 to 8 years of experience in relevant field in automation systems, application programming and independently handling areas of projects end-to-end knowledge in industrial automation systems, drives and motors Experience in handling automation and drives projects comprising of engineering and commissioning for steel industry specifically on secondary side of steel production- hot and cold mills Customer focused, self-motivated and a self-starter.
