Job Description

vConstruct

is seeking to onboard an architect to support their engagement on different scopes of systems pertaining to facades and prefabricated components. This role would involve working closely with the onsite team on partition and facade systems in helping them convert the design intents of a project to prefabrication-friendly design through constructability reviews, design coordination, detail development, and producing construction deliverables.

Primary responsibilities include

Architectural modeling of exterior facades and pursuit models for the selected scope of work. Supporting development technical details for different building systems such as exterior facades and waterproofing. Developing shop drawings pertaining to specific scopes. Reviewing architectural drawings and models for constructability and design conflicts. Conducting quantity take-off from models to provide material information for project teams.

Skills and experience

Minimum 1-3 years of working experience in developing drawings & details, preferably for US-based projects. Prior experience in leading projects through design development stages would be an advantage but is not mandatory. Familiar with design and development of different types of facade and finish systems. The ability to examine the sequence and construction of different components of a facade system to ensure constructability is highly desirable. Experience in architectural modeling and documentation using Revit is mandatory. Experience in developing higher LOD mockups or models would be an added advantage. Familiarity with working on Revit families and parameters is desirable. Attention to detail to develop quality deliverables. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proactive and team player.
