Minimum Qualifications:
Educational:
Master's degree in Gerontology, Social Work, Sociology, Public Health, or related field.
Desirable:
Certificate/PG Diploma in Gerontology.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in community-based projects, preferably in elder care, social development, or NGO coordination.
Take full leadership of the planning, execution, and supervision of elderly welfare programs under schemes like NAPSrC, IPOP, or similar initiatives.
Prepare annual action plans and strategic frameworks in consultation with relevant government departments and implementing partners.
Ensure alignment of project goals with state/national policy priorities and welfare schemes focused on senior citizens.
2. Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a central liaison between NGOs, panchayati raj institutions (PRIs), local government bodies, and district/state-level officials.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with government stakeholders, resource institutions, and community leaders.
Organize multi-stakeholder meetings, district-level review sessions, and inter-departmental coordination forums.
3. Field Supervision & Monitoring
Oversee field-level activities of partner NGOs, including mobilization, service delivery, and compliance with program norms.
Ensure quality and timely implementation of field interventions through regular monitoring visits, checklists, and field reports.
Track the progress of project components using approved formats, MIS systems, and M&E tools.
4. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare detailed progress reports (monthly, quarterly, annual), success stories, impact assessments, and case studies as per scheme requirements.
Maintain up-to-date project records including training registers, attendance, feedback, and audit documentation.
Support data analysis and documentation for external evaluations or audits.
5. Knowledge Management & BRKC Oversight
Establish and operationalize Basic Resource Knowledge Centres (BRKC) at identified locations.
Develop, catalog, and disseminate information, education, and communication (IEC) and behaviour change communication (BCC) materials related to ageing, elder care, and welfare entitlements.
Ensure accessibility of BRKC resources to senior citizens and community members at the grassroots.
6. Capacity Building & Awareness
Design and conduct orientation sessions, capacity-building programs, and refresher trainings for NGO staff, community workers, ASHAs, and local volunteers.
Organize community awareness drives on critical themes such as elderly rights, prevention of elder abuse, financial entitlements, and health support.
Facilitate intergenerational bonding initiatives and promote active ageing campaigns in collaboration with local schools and institutions.
7. Administrative & Technical Support
Assist in budget planning, expenditure tracking, and financial documentation in alignment with grant norms.
Support proposal development, fund utilization reporting, and grant renewals under state and centrally sponsored schemes.
Ensure all implementation follows compliance, ethical, and financial accountability standards.
