JOB DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT COORDINDATOR



Reporting to: The Project Committee/ National Programme Team



Accountable to: The National General Secretary



:-

To provide clean, comfortable, and economical accommodation for guests and senior citizen in the Main Cottage Development and optimum use of the property and orchard to generate income for the National Project, to support its purpose, programme and social action projects. Development of programmes that will provide services for and with the children, youth and elderly citizens in the Community, possibly through outreach projects.
The is appointed by the National Board/National Executive and is responsible for the development administration and operation of the National Project in consultation, conjunction and guidance of the National Project in Committee in Dehra Dun. As a staff member of the National YWCA staff, the is responsible and accountable to the National General Secretary, at Headquarters in New Delhi.

Specific responsibilities for coordinating the work at "Spreadacres"



Community Development Responsibilities



Building rapport with influential leaders, local education and health institutions/agencies that can network and partner on issues of the community and provide services for elderly, youth and children. Conduct surveys and motivate the community to become project partners by contributing-space, time, expertise Explore training opportunities and to organise training programme for the betterment of women and young adults Coordinate and conduct the following activities at the Community Centre:- Non formal education Recreation and Cultural activities Community Meetings Awareness Generation Activities Referral services Health activities Counseling Awareness generation activities

Finance and Administration



Coordinating and consulting with Lawyers and attending Court hearing on behalf of the National YWCA Booking accommodation for transient guests, conferences, and parties - dealing with all correspondence relating to the project and maintaining files and records of the same; Coordinating with Service providers and availing of quotations for the Orchard, services and for repairs and renovation of the Property Maintaining of inventories of equipment and supplies and annually bringing them uptodate; Assisting the Committee in formulating the Project budget and recommending it to the National Board/Executive for adoption; Ensuring that accurate accounts of receipts and payments of Spreadacres and Day Centre, Grant in Aid are kept and all records for the same is maintained. Issuing proper receipts for all monies received and making all payments sanctioned by the National Project Committee, within the budget approved by the National Board/National Executive; Maintaining and submitting quarterly / yearly reports on behalf of the Committee to the National General Secretary and also to submit reports and maintain accounts of training programmes Supervising and deputing the work to other staff involved in the project

Construction of a new Multipurpose Centre



Assist in every way required for:-

Meeting with authorities along with the Architect for obtaining required permission and relevant Licenses for operational purposes; Coordinating with and assisting the National Office for availing Bank loan and grants from the Government. Attending a meeting of the working committee at National Headquarters as and when necessary.

Working with the Project Committee:



Holding and recording minutes of meetings of the Project Committee every month. Recommending to the Project Committee, the appointment, and termination of service of Community Development/Supervisor/Housekeeper/Field Staff and domestic staff in accordance with rules and conditions of service drawn up by the National Personnel Committee and approved by the National Executive.
Any other responsibility assigned by the National General Secretary from time to time

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹53,000.00 per month
