Project Designer Engineer

to join our team, acting as a key technical reference supporting multidisciplinary projects while also representing the company in the Indian market from both the technical and commercial perspective.

Role Overview:

The Project Designer Engineer will be responsible for the development, coordination, and technical execution of multidisciplinary engineering projects within the mining, oil & gas and renewable sector. This role requires strong design expertise, cross-disciplinary coordination skills, and the ability to interface directly with clients, ensuring solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and aligned with project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Technical Execution:

Develop and manage detailed 3D engineering models using tools such as Plant3D, SmartPlant, Inventor, and SolidWorks. Produce 2D technical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and EPLAN P8. Interface with mechanical, civil, structural, electrical, and process engineering disciplines to ensure fully integrated project solutions. Support layout optimization, constructability, and compliance with applicable standards and project requirements. Generate and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs), unifilar diagrams, and comprehensive technical documentation. Ensure technical accuracy and consistency across all engineering deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. Integrate specialized knowledge of mining equipment and processes into designs.

Qualifications and Skills:

Fluent English proficiency (spoken and written), with the ability to communicate technical and commercial information clearly and professionally. Proficiency in Inventor or SolidWorks, and AutoCAD is required. Plant3D, SmartPlant, EPLAN P8 are considered as differential. Understanding of mining processes and equipment for various minerals (iron, coal, copper, phosphate, etc.). Experience in multidisciplinary plant design, including civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical interfaces. Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management. Expertise in generating BOMs, unifilar diagrams, and technical documentation. Communication and presentation skills, with a willingness to represent the company at a senior level. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.

Preferred Attributes:

Previous experience in mining, minerals processing, or heavy industry projects. Familiarity with the Indian market, suppliers, and client engagement practices. Proactive, self-driven professional with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
