Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a skilled and analytical Project Cost Estimator & Technical Sales Engineer who will be
responsible for evaluating project requirements, estimating costs, preparing proposals, and supporting
technical sales activities. The individual must possess strong engineering knowledge, calculation skills, and the
ability to interact with clients and internal teams to ensure profitable and accurate estimations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
COST ESTIMATION

Analyse client requirements, technical data, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope. Estimate the required material, manpower, fabrication, and time based on project needs. Prepare accurate BOQ (Bill of Quantities), costing sheets, quotation formats, and budgetary pricing. Maintain cost control and ensure minimum required profit ratio is achieved for each project.
Coordinate with production, purchase, and planning departments for rate finalization and
optimization.
TECHNICAL SALES

Assist the sales team by providing technical clarifications, design feasibility checks, and costing
justification to clients.

Communicate with customers to understand project requirements and propose suitable crane/hoist
solutions.

Prepare technical proposals, compliance statements, and solution documents.
DESIGN & DRAFTING SUPPORT

Prepare basic design & fabrication drawings using AutoCAD/ARES/CREO depending on requirement. Support the production team by providing necessary technical drawings and clarifications.
PLANNING COORDINATION

Support planning departments to ensure optimum resource utilisation. Assist in project execution strategy and time planning to meet delivery targets.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

BE in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory) 3+ Years of experience
TECHNICAL SKILLS

AutoCAD, ARES Commander, Creo 2.0, Catia V5 ANSYS (V14.5) Basic Analysis MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint Cost Data Analysis, Dashboard Creation, Data Interpretation
PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES

Strong analytical & problem-solving skills Excellent team coordination & leadership attitude Ability to work independently under deadlines Effective communication & customer handling skills Quick learner with a structured and organized approach
CERTIFICATIONS (VALUE ADDED)

AutoCAD Certified
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Minimum 2-4 years' experience in estimation, design drafting, planning or technical sales in the crane/hoist or heavy fabrication industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
