JOB PROFILE



Role Overview:-

The Program Coordinator will play a critical support role in the implementation of the School Transformation program across 10 government schools in rural Karnataka. Working closely with the School Transformation Lead, the Coordinator will ensure smooth coordination, monitoring, and follow-through of all program components including training fellow, teaching Fellow deployment, government liaisoning, digital integration, and community engagement and innovative projects for improvement in learning outcomes . This is a field-intensive role requiring strong coordination skills, comfort working within government systems, and sensitivity to rural and school contexts.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Program Coordination & Implementation Support



? Support the Program Lead in planning, scheduling, and coordinating school-level activities across all assigned schools.

? Track implementation timelines and ensure follow-ups with schools, Teaching Fellows, Master Trainers, and vendors.

? Support in training, meetings, school events, and review sessions.

2. Training fellow -Teaching Fellow & Training Support



? Provide day-to-day coordination and on-ground support to Training and Teaching Fellows.

? Track attendance, performance, and reporting of Teaching Fellows.

? Assist in organising teacher training, refresher workshops, and peer learning sessions.

? Act as a communication bridge between Fellows, schools, and the Program Lead.

3. Government & School Liaisoning



? Support coordination with Head Teachers, Cluster Resource Persons (CRPs), BEO offices, and district education officials.

? Assist in obtaining permissions for school activities, trainings, and events.

? Support organisation of block- or district-level consultations, reviews, and showcase events.

4. Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting



? Collect and maintain school-level data including attendance, activity reports, assessment data, and digital usage logs.

? Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments.

? Prepare monthly field reports, photo documentation, and short case stories.

? Support the Program Lead in compiling quarterly donor and internal reports.

5. Digital, Infrastructure & Resource Support



? Support implementation and monitoring of digital classrooms (iPads, TVs, content usage).

? Track distribution and upkeep of Teaching-Learning Materials (TLMs) and library resources.

? Coordinate BALA-based infrastructure activities with schools, local artists, and vendors.

6. Community & Parent Engagement



? Support parent meetings, SMC interactions, and community-level engagement activities.

? Assist in implementation of gender equity, student leadership, and aspiration-building initiatives.

? Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and local stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience



? Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Work, Development Studies, or a related field (Master's preferred but not mandatory).

? 2-4 years of experience in education programs, school-based interventions, or community development projects.

? Prior experience working with government schools or government systems is strongly preferred.

Skills & Competencies



? Strong coordination, follow-up, and organisational skills.

? Ability to manage multiple schools and stakeholders simultaneously.

? Comfort working in rural, field-based environments.

? Basic digital skills (MS Word, Excel, WhatsApp, Google Forms).

? Strong communication skills in Kannada (mandatory); working knowledge of English preferred.

? Sensitivity to gender, caste, and socio-economic contexts.

? Schools and government stakeholders remain engaged and cooperative.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?45,000.00 per month
