Our activities encompass the entire continuum of Cancer Care - cancer awareness, screening for early detection, financial help for treatment, support groups, rehabilitation of cancer survivors, registry, research & education.
Contract Period- Eleven months (Extendable as per the performance)
Roles and Responsibilities:
Expected role of the incumbent is multi-dimensional and are summarized below:
Project Coordination and Management:
? Coordinate the implementation of interventions for cancer within the District.
? Manage project activities and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
? Monitor progress and performance indicators, ensuring alignment with project goals.
? Developing linkages / liaison with government counterparts.
? Participate meetings at block, district and state level and provide timely updates/ reports to health department.
? Support the health department in finalizing PIP for Cancer Care at district.
? Map/identify non-governmental agencies actively involved in Cancer spectrum in the identified district/s and develop networks.
? Conduct situational assessments to identify needs, challenges, and best practices fo streamlining interventions.
? Develop and finalize detailed work plans and monitoring frameworks to achieve project goals.
? Facilitate communication and collaboration with stakeholders at the state and district levels.
? Organize orientation and sensitization meetings to gather stakeholder support.
? Foster partnerships with governmental, non-governmental, and community-based
organizations. Screening Operations, Coverage Improvement, and Navigation
? Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of cancer screening activities a community and facility levels.
? Strengthen screening coverage through targeted awareness strategies, community, mobilization, and stakeholder engagement.
? Identify low-performing areas and implement focused interventions to improve uptake of screening services.
? Ensure efficient client navigation for those requiring follow-up investigations, diagnosis, and treatment.
? Support field teams to address operational challenges, improve beneficiary flow, and enhance service delivery quality.
? Build rapport with local leaders, frontline workers, and community structures to increase participation in screening programmes.
Capacity Building and Training:
? Develop and implement and supervise training programs to build the capacity of healthcare providers and frontline workers.
? Identify training needs through assessments and collaborate with stakeholders to address them.
? Ensure the dissemination of training materials and resources to relevant stakeholders. Data Management:
? Utilize the NCD portal for data entry, analysis, and monitoring of cancer screening and awareness services.
? Conduct regular data analysis to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
? Provide support for evidence-based decision-making at the state and district levels. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Quality Improvement:
? Establish mechanisms for program monitoring, evaluation, and quality improvement.
? Conduct regular reviews and assessments to track progress and identify areas for enhancement.
? Institutionalize quality improvement strategies for effective caner care. Knowledge Management and Innovation:
? Develop and implement knowledge management strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance knowledge sharing and collaboration across the mapped states.
? Identify knowledge gaps and opportunities for improvement in knowledge management processes and propose and implement solutions to address them.
? Conduct needs assessments and gap analyses to identify areas for improvement in chronic disease management services and develop strategies to address them.
? Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote awareness of cancer, risk factors, and preventive measures through community outreach programs, workshops, and educational materials.
In addition to the above-mentioned roles and responsibilities, s/he will collaborate with existing
projects initiatives in the state to integrate cancer care services into performance monitoring
frameworks for CPHC services.
Qualifications & Experience
? A master's degree in public health, Health Administration, Health Policy, or a related field is required. A specialization or coursework related to chronic diseases like Cancer is preferred.
? At least 5+ years of relevant experience in public health program management, preferably in the field of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) with a focus on cancer and primary health care level.
? Experience in designing, implementing, and monitoring health programs, particularly those targeting prevention, early detection.
? Demonstrated experience in working with government health agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders involved in healthcare delivery.
? Experience in capacity building, training, and providing technical assistance to healthcare providers and community health workers.
? Proven track record of managing budgets, procurement, and financial reporting related to health programs.
? Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
? Proficiency in MS Office package.
