This position can be based in WRI\'s Global Office in Washington, DC or in any of the WRI offices in The Hague, or London, or Mexico City, or Colombia, or Brazil. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application. WRI is unable to sponsor any visa work sponsorship for this position. About the Program: WRI Core Communications team, based largely in Washington DC, oversees strategy and outreach for the Institute to support WRI leadership, program, centers and international offices. Communications is crucial to WRI\'s success at achieving rapid, systemic changes. The global communications team strives to work as an integrated global network to expand WRI\'s reach, reputation and effect. Job Highlight: Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, Communications. WRI\'s Core Communications team is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized individual to support the operations and project management responsibilities. Your role will help maintain the team\'s overall effectiveness. You will work with Operations Manager and the Senior Project Manager. This is a collaborative position, which is suited for someone who enjoys working on a team and working with colleagues from multiple other teams and projects. To be successful in this role, you must be deadline-driven and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment. You will have the opportunity to help strengthen WRI\'s communications and to learn new skills. What will you do: Operational and Management Support (70% of your time): Coordinate operations processes and assist with compiling, tracking, and editing internal documents Support the team with billable hours and assist with tracking down project codes - Provide project management support for communications services and external vendor relations Process work orders, payment requests and expense reports for core communications to ensure accurate processing Process work orders and payment requests for multiple teams during the production of knowledge products Assist with renewing several types of contracts Process reclasses as needed Assist with fiscal year-end close and preparation for monthly quarterly financial reviews Provide biweekly timesheet guidance to the Core Communications team Administrative and Executive Support (30% of your time) : Manage the team\'s calendar and schedule team meetings - Support travel arrangements Help coordinate WRI events and large meetings, including preparing agendas, note taking, and other logistics Support team\'s internal communications and messaging - Coordinate internal managing tools, sites, emails, and mailing groups Other tasks as assigned What will you need: Education : You have a completed bachelor\'s degree, either in operation management and finance, public policy, or a related field, demonstrating mastery of project management Experience : You have 2+ years of work experience in a project coordination/operations role Experience with Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel Interest in a project management and operations career path - Intermediate math skills and basic accounting skills Ability to manage projects and to use multiple project management software (Experience with Asana is a plus) An interest in the environment, sustainability or international development Existing work authorization is required where this position is based.WRI is unable to authorize visa work authorization.
