Project Associate - Agri Economics (Climate & Carbon Credit / Organic Certification)

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the

implementation of agriculture and climate-related projects

at the field level. Support data collection, documentation, and analysis related to

carbon credit assessment and organic certification

. Coordinate with farmers, FPOs, and field teams for smooth project execution. Participate in

training programs

on organic inspection and certification standards (as per FSC or relevant certification schemes). Maintain project reports, field records, and assist in the preparation of monitoring and evaluation documents. Support the development of sustainable agricultural practices and climate-smart interventions. Liaise with project partners, certification bodies, and government departments as needed.

Required Qualifications and Skills

M.Sc. or M.Tech in

Agricultural Economics

(freshers or up to 1 year of experience). Strong understanding of agricultural systems, sustainability, and rural development. Interest in

climate-smart agriculture

carbon credit mechanisms

, and

organic certification

. Good communication and report-writing skills (English, Marathi/Hindi preferred). Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Willingness to travel to rural project sites.
