Job Description

Applications are invited for the post of Project Associate at Indian Institute of Management Nagpur. The Project Associate will work with the faculty member (Principal Investigator) on various assignments related to


1. Exploring and understanding the problems in diverse sectors like agricultural waste management, food processing, manufacturing etc. 2. Exploring and understanding the reasons (socio-economic-technological) and available solutions of such problems. 3. Exploring and understanding the reasons for (non) adoption of solutions available and arrive at the possible remedies. 4. Designing training programmes/ workshops/ seminars for various stakeholders on related topics.

Responsibilities:

Research

Conduct literature review Preparation of interview questions and survey questionnaire Conduct focus group discussions, group discussions Travel to different locations (Pan-India) for data collection and field study Designing, deploying and monitoring online survey Collect and analyze data (survey and interviews) Summarize and prepare research reports

Training / Teaching Assistance in

Preparing teaching aids and material for the various programmes Evaluation of the participants

Administrative

Track the progress of the project on different dimensions Preparation of project progress reports Assist in the preparation of other articles, reports, and presentations

Qualification:

Postgraduate in (General/ Agri/ Rural) management or social sciences or Agriculture or Economics or Biosciences or Engineering discipline with minimum 65% marks Prior experience in research is desirable

Age limit:

35 Years.

Self-motivated who can work without hand holding Ability to handle diverse (research /administration) responsibilities simultaneously Open to multiple viewpoints and capability to integrate Appetite for research with attention to detail

Reporting to

The selected person will report to the Principal Investigator, a faculty at IIM Nagpur.

Contract and Compensation:

Nature of Job: The selected candidate will be offered a contractual appointment for a period of 1 year with a possibility of extension based on performance.



Consolidated Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- per month.



Review of performance: First review will be after first 2 months and subsequently after every 6 months. Unsatisfactory performance as assessed by the principal investigator will lead to termination of the contract.
