Job Description

The Project and Service Head will be responsible for overseeing and leading the planning, execution, and delivery of kitchen equipment projects and after-sales services. The role includes managing project timelines, coordinating with clients, ensuring quality control, and leading a team to provide timely service and support to customers. The candidate will ensure seamless execution from project initiation to completion, maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:



Project Management:



Lead and manage multiple commercial kitchen equipment installation projects from inception to completion.

Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with senior management and clients.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, production, logistics) to ensure project milestones are achieved.

Monitor progress and resolve any project-related issues promptly.

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements during project execution.

Service Operations:



Oversee the after-sales service team responsible for equipment maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.

Develop and implement service schedules, ensuring timely support and quick resolution of customer complaints.

Ensure service engineers are trained and equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge.

Maintain strong relationships with clients through periodic follow-ups and proactive service.

Team Leadership:



Lead, mentor, and motivate the project and service teams to meet performance standards.

Recruit, train, and develop the team to build a highly skilled and competent workforce.

Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Client Relations:

Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding project execution and service requirements.

Ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded through excellent communication, project transparency, and post-installation support.

Identify opportunities to upsell services and develop long-term partnerships with clients.

Budget and Resource Management:



Manage project budgets and ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet cost and delivery objectives.

Evaluate project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Work closely with the finance department to track project expenses and profitability.

Process Improvement:



Continuously review and improve project management and service processes for efficiency and quality.

Introduce innovative tools, methods, and technologies to enhance service delivery.

Develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) for project execution and service management.

Compliance and Reporting:



Ensure that all projects comply with relevant legal, safety, and quality standards.

Prepare and present regular reports to the senior management on project status, service performance, and customer satisfaction.

Required Qualifications:



Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or Project Management.

Experience: Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in managing large-scale industrial or commercial equipment projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of commercial kitchen equipment, installation, and maintenance procedures.

Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving results.

Client Management: Excellent client handling, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

Project Management Tools: Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).

Languages: Fluency in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.

Preferred Skills:

PMP/Prince2 Certification or equivalent project management credentials.

Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience in the kitchen equipment industry or similar sectors would be an advantage.
