Background information: Comprising of one of the largest groups of certified Prince2 and Agile project management experts and practitioners, UNICC?s Project and Programme Services offer clients with services ranging from light-touch project management, end-to-end project management, and program management. Client stakeholders can expect budget transparency, timely realization of milestones, improved controls and reporting and compliance. Via deployment of shared resources to serve Clients and provide economies of scale, benefits include adherence to project best practices, processes, templates and development, maintenance and storage of project templates and/or project documentation. At present, UNICC seeks a contractor to provide project management services. Required Profile: The contractor should have the following skills and experience: 1. At least 8 years of IT work experience 2. More than 5 years of experience in managing IT projects (Agile/Scrum, Prince2/PMI) 3. PRINCE2 Practitioner certification / Program Management (MSP) or Professional Scrum Certification 4. Knowledge on any of the following areas would be preferred: a. Office 365 and Exchange Messaging / Migration Services. b. Infrastructure, ERP Applications and Cloud Hosting / Migration services c. Application Development, BlockChain, Automation (RPA), Data & Analytic, ServiceNow 5.Experience in managing projects in a multi-cultural environment 6.Experience in managing remote teams 7.Expert knowledge of English is required. 8.Knowledge of another UN language is an advantage Scope of Work / Duties of Consultant: Within the scope of UNICC?s Project Management Framework (Agile and PRINCE2), the services include the following: a) Plan, execute and control projects, which are either internal or external to ICC, or manage components of a large complex project which typically impact critical operations or multiple user groups b) Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget c) Create, maintain and execute the Project Plan d) Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, and costs using appropriate techniques e) Manage project issues and risks f) Manage project resources and track project costs g) Track and monitor project progress against plan, requirements, quality measures, standard processes and report performance using appropriate tools and techniques h) Manage project communications, including schedule, to liaise with project board and respective stakeholders during the entire project lifecycle. i) Create and maintain project management documents throughout the lifecycle of the project from Start Up to Closure. j) Execute a proper Project Closure, including transition to operation, financial and lessons learnt. Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase k) Manage a complex project portfolio
Required Technical Skills:
  • The resource MUST have the following skills and experience:
  • The ideal Project Administrator will have experience in Agile development life-cycle, with the ability to lead scrum teams.
  • At least 8 years of IT work experience
  • More than 5 years of experience in managing IT projects (Agile/Scrum, Prince2/PMI)
  • Experience managing minimally 2-3 (or more) small-to-medium, concurrent projects
  • Experience managing multi-vendor project delivery teams
  • PRINCE2 Practitioner certification / Program Management (MSP)
Professional Scrum Master 1 certification Knowledge on any of the following areas would be preferred:
  • Office 365 and Exchange Messaging / Migration Services.
  • Infrastructure, ERP Applications and Cloud Hosting / Migration services
  • Application Development, BlockChain, Automation (RPA), Data & Analytics
  • Knowledge of ITIL
  • Product Owner role and/or certification
  • Product management and/or product management governance
