The Project Accountant involves finalizing checks and purchase orders, ensuring accurate financial transactions and compliance. Project Accountant will prepare and verify running account bills (RA Bills), analyze project costs to stay within budget, and manage inventory to maintain necessary supplies without excess. Additionally, Project Accountant will handle project-wise cash flows, ensuring funds are available for obligations and financial resources are used efficiently. This role is crucial for maintaining financial control and efficiency in project execution.

Key Areas of Responsibility
Finalizes Checks and Purchase Orders:
Ensuring that all financial transactions related to
the project are accurate and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.
RA Bills (Running Account Bills):
Preparing, verifying, and finalizing running account bills
which track the ongoing costs incurred by the project.
Analyzing Costs: Monitoring and analyzing the costs associated with the project to ensure
they remain within budget.
Managing Inventory:
Overseeing the project inventory to ensure that materials and
supplies are available as needed without excessive surplus.
Purchases: Invoice checking, verification of receipts on site, bookkeeping, and maintaining
stock lists for branches and construction sites.
Preparation of Receivables
: Handling the preparation and tracking of receivables to ensure timely and accurate collection of funds.
Project-wise Cash Flows:
Managing and forecasting the cash flow for each project to
ensure that funds are available to meet obligations and that financial resources are used
efficiently.
Skills Required for the Role
Experience:
Proven experience in project accounting or similar role.
Financial Acumen: Deep understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and
budgeting.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficiency in MS Excel, competence in using accounting software,
spreadsheets, and financial management tools.
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze costs, financial data, and project budgets to ensure
efficient use of resources.
Attention to Detail:
Accuracy in financial transactions, invoice checking, and bookkeeping.
Organizational Skills:
Efficient management of inventory, stock lists, and project
documentation.
Communication Skills
: Clear communication with project teams, suppliers, and
stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Capability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies and
inefficiencies.
Time Management:
Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic
project environment.
