What You'll Do:

Teach Core Concepts

: Break down programming fundamentals--variables, data types, control flow, functions, and object-oriented principles.

Cover Databases

: Introduce relational databases, designing schemas, writing basic-to-intermediate SQL queries (SELECT, JOIN, GROUP BY, etc.).

Web Basics

: Explain the structure of the web using HTML and CSS; show how to create and style pages.

JavaScript Essentials

: Guide students through JavaScript syntax, DOM manipulation, and basic asynchronous patterns (callbacks/promises).

Adapt to Any Stack

: Use whichever language or framework you're most comfortable with (Python, Java, C#, Ruby, Node.js, PHP, etc.) to illustrate concepts.

Develop Hands-On Exercises

: Create real-world projects and practice problems that reinforce learning.

Provide Feedback

: Review student code, offer constructive feedback, and troubleshoot issues in live sessions or code reviews.

Who You Are

Experienced Coder

: You've built projects in at least one modern language or framework.

Database Savvy

: Comfortable designing tables and writing efficient SQL queries.

Web-Fluent

: Solid grasp of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript fundamentals.

Great Communicator

: Able to explain complex ideas in clear, simple terms.

Patient Mentor

: Enjoy guiding beginners, answering questions, and celebrating "aha!" moments.

Flexible

: Happy to adjust your teaching style to different learning paces and tech preferences.

Nice-to-Haves

Prior teaching or tutoring experience (online or in-person) Familiarity with version control (Git) Experience with one or more JS frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Firebase) Background in instructional design or curriculum development
