Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers the physical engine at the heart of Amazon. AFT builds and operates software, hardware, and processes that run the global network of fulfillment centers that move many millions of units of inventory, employ tens of thousands of people, and ensure that customers get what they want by the promised date/time. In the service of our customers, we are innovating in the areas of material handling automation, robotics, machine learning, logistics and transportation. The Operations Technology team supports all of the software and infrastructure that powers Amazon's world-class fulfillment engine. The Operations Technology team in India is looking for a Programmer Analyst to support worldwide expansion of Amazon Fulfillment network. As a Programmer Analyst you will be interfacing with various Business/Operations/Technology partners to create/enhance new Node Launch and Technology service setup activities meeting stringent SLAs. You will work closely with staff engineers of Node Launch & Automation team, Technology Service teams and drive innovation and best practice adoption. You design, develop, troubleshoot, debug, evaluate, support and modify internal, end user tools/applications using the latest technology and programming languages with deep functional domain knowledge. The ideal candidate must be detail oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, able to juggle multiple tasks at once, able to work independently and can maintain professionalism under pressure. You must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's in CS or related field with 2- 5 years of experience Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript Ability to write code in Java Ability to understand functional/technical specifications and analyze data Strong organizational and problem solving skills with great attention to detail, including the ability to track multiple test executions simultaneously and synthe the results Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS . Experience in automating large scale highly available and distributed systems . Technical Skills - Programming Languages (Java/Python/Ruby, etc.), Web technologies, Cloud/AWS .
