The livelihoods program is a recently initiated programme that works closely with the Sustainable Fisheries programme. The overarching goals of the programme are -
? To create interdisciplinary knowledge on various dimensions of India's dry land livelihoods sector through on-ground sustainable livelihoods interventions
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day Implementation, assist, plan, and supervise ongoing intervention projects under the Livelihoods programme.
Strategize programme expansion (thematically and geographically) with the Programme Head and write funding proposals for continuity and growth
Actively build and nurture partnerships with key stakeholder groups and partner organisations including other NGOs, government departments, research institutions and CBOs
Develop and maintain systems for documentation and tracking of programmatic activities.
Liaise with various donors, government agencies and partners, coordinate project reports, track timelines and deliverables, and ensure reporting requirements are met.
Coordinate and work with other teams at SPS as part of cross-programmatic collaborative projects and initiatives.
Work closely with women farmers and help build strong and vibrant people's institutions, led by women;
Establish coordination between different livelihood programmes like SHG, watershed development NPM agriculture, etc.
Establish network with various Research institutions, Veterinary Hospital, Government Veterinary collage, Govt line department, NABARD and nationalised banks.
Engage with rural communities and co-ordinate work of the village community, the PRIs and government agencies;
Assist in the development of training material to be used in the empowerment programme of the Baba Amte Center for People's Empowerment
