Role Summary and Impact
As part of the WPP Media, you will work cross-functionally with business teams across India in a highly collaborative and multicultural environment.
We are seeking a visionary Programmatic Lead to lead programmatic media operations. This role is central to driving operational excellence across campaign execution, data infrastructure, reporting and dashboarding, automation, and performance optimization. You'll be the strategic bridge between media strategy and execution-translating client marketing goals into scalable, tech-enabled programmatic solutions.
In addition to programmatic leadership, you'll bring a working understanding of other digital channels like Search, Social, and Commerce, enabling a more unified and integrated media delivery experience.
Skills and Experience
  • Lead end-to-end operations across major programmatic platforms (e.g., DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon DSP), ensuring accurate campaign setup, pacing, targeting, and performance reporting.
  • Translate client objectives into programmatic media strategies and operational frameworks that drive measurable business impact.
  • Partner with cross-channel leads to standardize and integrate workflows, promoting a connected media execution approach across Programmatic, Search, and Social.
  • Champion the adoption of automation, AI/ML solutions, and advanced measurement tools to drive efficiency and scale.
  • Stay ahead of evolving programmatic trends-e.g., identity solutions, cookieless targeting, SSP innovations-and help shape the roadmap for next-generation media operations.
  • Collaborate with strategy, analytics, and engineering teams to align programmatic execution with broader marketing and business goals.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing, globally distributed programmatic operations team.
  • Oversee relationships with DSPs, data providers, measurement vendors, and ensure adherence to platform, privacy, and data governance standards.

What You Bring:
  • 15+ years of digital media experience, with deep expertise in programmatic advertising and working knowledge of related channels (Search, Social, Commerce).
  • Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams and driving complex client programs with excellence.
  • Expertise in key platforms: DV360, TTD, Amazon DSP, CM360, and audience/data management tools.
  • Familiarity with Search (Google Ads, Bing), social platforms (Meta, TikTok), and commerce ecosystems (Amazon Ads, retail media networks).
  • Strong grasp of tracking, tagging, and data pipelines (e.g., Floodlight, GTM, server-side tagging).
  • A forward-thinking, solutions-oriented mindset with a strong POV on where programmatic and digital media are headed.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, especially in client-facing settings.
