Designation: Program Officer
Role: The Program officer will be responsible for undertaking activities with the ICDS staff's, Health system staff's and groups of community volunteers for maternal and child health intervention. S/he will be responsible for achieving the program deliverables and key result areas on ICDS services.
Educational Requirement: - Graduation
Experience: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in community development thematic area

COMPREHENSIVE OVERVIEW OF THE POSITION
This position is responsible for planning, organizing, conducting, monitoring program's training activities.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Capacity Building and Mentoring
Build the capacity of ICDS staff through structured training and on-field mentoring. Conduct capacity-building sessions for Supervisors, Sevikas, and Madatnis.
Provide continuous technical guidance and feedback during field visits.
2. Program Implementation and Monitoring
Conduct monthly anthropometric assessments and ensure growth monitoring at Anganwadis.
Support effective management and follow-up of SAM/MAM children.
Observe home visits, diet audit forms, and sessions conducted by Sevikas and provide feedback.
Promote adoption and follow-up of SAM/MAM children by community volunteers.
3. Community Engagement and Mobilization
Strengthen community participation and ownership in child health and nutrition initiatives.
Form and facilitate monthly meetings with parents' groups.
Support community volunteers in leading collective actions and awareness drives. Organize community-based events, health awareness campaigns, and advocacy initiatives.
4. Coordination and Convergence
Facilitate convergence between ICDS and Health Departments for improved service delivery.
Establish and maintain referral linkages for child health and nutrition services.
Coordinate regularly with Supervisors, Sevikas, and other ICDS functionaries.
Liaise with government departments, CBOs, youth groups, and NGOs to strengthen collaboration.
5. Stakeholder Engagement and Capacity Development
Facilitate sessions with key stakeholders on maternal and child health, government schemes, and community development.
Conduct protocolized meetings and ensure timely implementation of planned activities and events.
6. Documentation and Administration
Maintain accurate records of activities, meetings, and program outputs.
Support administrative and reporting requirements as per organizational guidelines. Ensure all activities are implemented within the approved budget and timeline.
Manage data and ensure data entry daily.
Crosschecking of data collected from system and ensure data entry in Comcare application.
Documentation of project activities.
Managing pictures and documents of meetings, activities and events timely.
7. Additional Responsibilities
Undertake any other tasks assigned to achieve programmatic goals and outcomes.
CRITICAL TRAITS
Ability to maintain role boundaries
Interest in different themes like community development, child health and nutrition and maternal and new born health
Fluency in English, Hindi and Marathi
Ability to handle community issues.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
