1. POSITION VACANT: Program Officer , Smile Train India, New Delhi 2. KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the Program Director - India , the Program Officer (PO) shall be responsible for managing regional programs of Smile Train in India. Key Roles and Responsibilities: (1) Manage and support the existing treatment partners and fund recipients for their administrative needs, ensuring that all programs are aligned with the overall goals, mission, priorities, and policies of the organization. The PO shall work closely with the Program Director-India to ensure that the cleft program is managed with compliance to safety and/or quality standards mandated by the Medical Advisory Board; (2) Promote a culture of teamwork and cooperation among teams within partners to help them achieve their goals in an effective and lasting manner; (3) Identify and develop suitable hospitals and surgeons in underserved areas within the assigned territory, to expand the coverage of Smile Train partnerships and programs; (4) Monitor essential performance metrics, arrange regular assessments and on-site inspections, maintain communication with partners, and fulfill all necessary project management responsibilities within the context of Smile Train \'s partnerships; (5) Identify gaps in technical expertise, assess training requirements at and with partners, and coordinate to improve essential skill proficiency of practitioners at partners; (6) Facilitate and coordinate periodic quality checks/ audits (both Financial and Medical), to ensure that partner hospitals reflect consistent standards; (7) Coordinate and facilitate donor visits and reporting; (8) Generate content (case stories and photographs) from the field, and collate impactful stories to support the communication and marketing team locally, as well as globally; (9) Support the Communications & Fundraising team by organizing events in the assigned region, to enhance Smile Train \'s visibility among potential donors, in alignment with the organization\'s overall goals of financial self-sufficiency; (10) Manage patient feedback by collaborating with partners and internal teams; (11) Keep internal program management systems/ software regularly updated; (12) Keep the Program Director - India continually informed through periodic reports on major developments, key issues, and progress against agreed targets. 4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENC IES: Qualifications: (1) Applicants must have a postgraduate degree/ diploma in public health or equivalent; OR (2) Applicants with a bachelor\'s degree and relevant experience will also be considered. Experience: (1) Minimum of two to four years of relevant progressive experience with emphasis on program management, partnership management, stakeholder management, and advocacy in Public Health/ Healthcare; (2) Experience in effectively managing partner relationships, demonstrating partner growth and satisfaction with services. Skills: (1) Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi, and any regional language, both oral and in writing; (2) High degree of computer literacy; (3) Strong analytical and organizing skills; (4) Initiative and creativity to develop and implement innovative programs; (5) High levels of energy and commitment to excellence; (6) Outstanding interpersonal and networking skills; (7) A sincere commitment to the cause of helping children and a strong identification with Smile Train\'s goals; (8) Ability to travel 40-50 % of the time. 5. COMPENSATION OFFERED: Gross annual compensation budgeted for the position is attractive.
