Amazon Transportation Services organization is looking for a Program Manager, who will be primarily responsible to plan and manage OE for this organization. You will run and own different OE programs across the organization and leverage


best practices that are used across Amazon. You will partner with cross-functional teams throughout the organization to lead annual Infrastructure Market Rate (IMR) planning, budgeting processes, and strategic infrastructure investment


decisions. This includes reviewing and approving hardware and new infrastructure requests, driving infrastructure usage efficiencies to achieve significant cost savings, and ensuring optimal resource allocation across all transportation


services. You will work with leaders across the organization and identifying opportunities that improves OE and enhances operational readiness of the Amazon Transportation Services. Most importantly, you will have ownership of and


responsibility for managing programs and delivering solutions that exceed our customers' expectations. We need an individual, who is ready for this challenge and who wants to reach beyond what is possible today.



A successful team member will be skilled at anticipating bottlenecks, providing escalation management, balancing business needs with process constraints, and taking calculated risks to maximize business benefit. They will demonstrate


expertise in infrastructure cost optimization, capacity planning, and financial analysis to support data-driven IMR decisions that balance operational needs with fiscal responsibility. They will be able to focus heavily on cross


functional communication to ensure key decisions and status surrounding projects are clear to all. Successful candidates should not only be passionate about delivering extensible, on-time solutions, but should also be obsessed with


contributing to the development of high-performance teams through rigorous goal-setting, disciplined attention to performance metrics, continuous process improvement and mentor-ship. The role requires strong analytical skills to evaluate


infrastructure ROI, negotiate with internal stakeholders on resource allocation, and drive organization-wide initiatives that optimize infrastructure spend while maintaining service excellence. The ideal candidate will


demonstrate a passion for working on behalf of teams and customers, have a track record of on-time delivery of large scale projects, and have the ability to operate independently and autonomously. Maturity, judgment, negotiation skills,


influence and leadership skills are all essential.



Key job responsibilities

Lead comprehensive operational excellence programs across the transportation services organization



Develop and execute strategic infrastructure investment decisions, including hardware and resource allocation



Conduct detailed financial analysis to optimize infrastructure costs and support data-driven decision-making



Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure alignment and clarity on critical project initiatives



Design and implement process improvement strategies that enhance operational readiness and efficiency

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

5+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience 7+ years of program or project management experience 7+ years of delivering cross functional projects experience Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

----------------------------

2+ years of driving process improvements experience Master's degree, or MBA in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
