Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive,
business-oriented Program Manager (Legal)
who can
partner closely with leadership teams to solve real problems

. This role goes beyond paperwork: it requires the ability to
understand business objectives, assess risks, propose commercially sensible solutions

build scalable processes and frameworks

The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in fast-moving situations, thinking creatively to resolve issues, and enabling the business to move forward while managing the risks .
This role will work closely with Sales, Finance, Product, Data, Procurement, and Leadership teams to:
reduce friction in commercial transactions
accelerate deal closure
resolve structural/legal issues across business operations
build scalable legal frameworks and processes
A strong sense of judgment, ownership, and problem-solving ability is critical.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deal Enablement & Problem Solving
Act as the first point of contact for business teams to interpret legal issues into clear business decisions.
Diagnose deal blockers
and design commercially viable solutions.
Work closely with leadership to define key frameworks
around IP use, indemnity boundaries, liability exposure, governing law, and dispute frameworks.
Support strategic initiatives
including new geographies, data expansions, API integrations, reseller relationships, and enterprise partnerships.
Draft, negotiate and improve commercial contracts (SaaS subscription, enterprise licensing, resellers, NDAs, procurement, data sharing, IP).
Own the contract playbook:
standard positions, fallback clauses, escalation matrix, risk filters.
Improve contracting velocity and outcomes
through better templates, checklists, automation, and use of technology.
2. Regulatory & Data Compliance
Help interpret and operationalise data privacy requirements (DPDP, GDPR, CCPA etc.).
Ensure compliance in licensing, IP usage, copyright, data sourcing, and customer data flows.
Coordinate with external counsel in multiple jurisdictions.
3. Risk Management & Governance
Identify legal risks early, break them down into scenarios, and recommend mitigation plans.
Resolve disputes and draft response strategies, assisting in negotiations.
Maintain corporate hygiene: policies, PoAs, board/committee documentation, and statutory registers where needed.

Qualifications
LL.B. with 4-10 years' relevant experience. (MBA is a plus)
In-house experience in a SaaS / technology / B2B environment is preferred.
Exposure to international contracting and cross-border regulations is a plus.
