Position Overview



We are seeking a results-driven and mission-aligned Program Manager to lead the daily implementation of our school-based programs in Bengaluru, reaching 25,000 young people across government schools, six days a week (Monday to Saturday).

This is a high-responsibility leadership role focused on managing a team of trainers and coordinators, ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of learning experiences and materials in classrooms. You will be accountable for achieving key performance indicators, building and maintaining relationships with government departments, donors, school teams, and ensuring programs are inclusive and gender-responsive.

The role includes writing original, insight-driven reports, leading government and donor communication, identifying new fundraising opportunities across education, climate change, and skills sectors, and ensuring the results of gender audits are actioned at the school and system level.

Key Responsibilities



Program Implementation & Team Leadership



Lead the full-time field team to deliver daily classroom sessions across government schools in Bengaluru.

Oversee scheduling, attendance, field supervision, and ensure daily implementation meets quality benchmarks.

Manage training, coaching, and accountability for all field staff, ensuring adherence to project plans and KPIs.

Stakeholder Management



Build and maintain strong relationships with Government of Karnataka departments, school leaders, and education officials.

Serve as the lead liaison for donors and corporate/foundation partners, representing the program's impact and needs.

Coordinate with school teams to resolve challenges and optimize implementation logistics.

Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting



Oversee tracking of attendance, participation, and program outcomes.

Analyze program data to generate clear, insightful reports and case studies.

Write original content for donor updates, reports, and presentations.

Ensure all reports reflect progress against gender, inclusion, and learning metrics.

Gender & Inclusion



Implement the findings of gender audits to ensure inclusive program delivery.

Monitor gender outcomes and adjust strategies in real-time to close gaps.

Promote gender-sensitive approaches across all aspects of program management.

Fundraising & Partnership Development



Identify and pursue new funding opportunities across education, climate, and skills sectors.

Propose new partnerships with civil society, corporate CSR, and government initiatives.

Develop proposals and concept notes that align with the organization's storytelling and systems-change approach.

Volunteer & Event Coordination (Part of Role)



Coordinate with the volunteering team to support event planning and implementation.

Manage relationships with volunteering partners as part of broader stakeholder engagement.

Ensure volunteers have clear roles and contribute meaningfully to program outcomes.

Required Skills & Qualifications



Minimum 7+ years of experience in program or project management in any field.

Fluent in spoken Kannada; excellent written English, especially in creating original content, reports, and presentations.

Proven ability to manage large, dispersed teams in the field, with daily performance tracking and accountability.

Strong experience in working with government systems, schools, and donor/stakeholder engagement.

Ability to write clearly, originally, and persuasively for different audiences: donors, partners, and public channels.

Deep understanding of gender-sensitive programming and inclusive implementation.

Willingness to travel regularly across Bengaluru and to Raichur and other North Karnataka regions.

Skilled in project tools, Google Workspace, and data collection systems.

Preferred Qualifications



Experience working in a corporate, education, communications, start-up, entrepreneurship, Climate Change.

Fundraising or proposal writing experience for programs in education, climate, or youth skills.
