NSRCEL is the start-up incubator of IIM Bangalore. We are deeply committed to mobilising the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the country to foster innovation and economic growth. As an organization, we have had the privilege of working with some of the brightest minds in the industry, and we take pride in our ability to identify and nurture talent. 1,15,600+ entrepreneurs participated in various programs, workshops, masterclasses and events so far. These initiatives have provided a platform for entrepreneurs to gain insights, expand their network, and hone their skills.
Additionally, NSRCEL has partners with corporates like Goldman Sachs, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Maruti Suzuki, Capgemini and Alstom among others to support entrepreneurs in focused sectors like mobility, fintech, AI, Climate and Impact led entrepreneurship.
As a pivotal member of NSRCEL's Climate Centre of Excellence, you will play a critical role in influencing strategic decisions for the centre.
Role Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple client projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and deliver high-impact results.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple project teams, ensuring effective management and alignment with strategic goals.
- Lead high-level stakeholder engagements and strategic partnerships.
- Direct the strategic planning, budgeting, and overall performance of project
- Innovate and implement high-impact strategies to enhance program outcomes.
- Business Development through ecosystem engagement and being a brand ambassador of the organization
- Sourcing and closing deals as well as managing the projects that are sourced by you, until completion
- Manage a small team and lead them to achieving the project goals
Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in program management roles within the incubation or acceleration space or 6-8 years of experience in Business Consulting across India
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong track record in managing complex programs and diverse teams.
  • Advanced understanding of the entrepreneurship ecosystem and incubation processes.
Preference
  • DST Portfolio Management: 3 + years leading Department of Science & Technology (DST)-funded incubation cohorts or R&D programs, including proposal writing, budget alignment, and compliance reporting
  • Grant Lifecycle Expertise: Demonstrated track record in securing, disbursing, and monitoring multi?crore grants from government (DST, MeitY, BIRAC) and multilateral agencies; adept with grant accounting tools and audit protocols
  • Cohort Design & Delivery: Designed, executed, and scaled at least three tech?startup cohorts (10-20 ventures each) covering selection rubrics, mentor networks, milestone?based funding, and KPI dashboards
  • Ecosystem & Stakeholder Engagement: Strong network within scientific agencies, venture funds, corporates, and academia; able to broker partnerships and co?create sector?specific programs (e.g., deep?tech, med?tech, climate?tech
  • Regulatory & IP Familiarity: Past experience of Indian IP law, tech?transfer agreements, and startup equity structures relevant to government?backed incubators.
  • Data & Reporting Proficiency: Advanced MIS tools, and analytics platforms for real?time cohort performance tracking and grant compliance reporting.
