Lead innovation strategy, partnering with organizations, pinpointing problem areas, and identifying relevant data sources. Collaborate with teams to translate challenges into specific use-cases, manage pilots, and ensure impactful, scaled deployments.

ABOUT US

Wadhwani AI is a non-profit applied AI institute that brings artificial intelligence technology to social challenges in low and middle-income countries. Through our solutions, AI becomes an enabling technology that bridges the gap between problems and solutions, augments human capabilities and provides advanced decision support. We collaborate with social sector organizations, the government, domain experts and academic institutions to identify real-world challenges, create and deploy innovative AI solutions to reach intended users and beneficiaries - with the objective of creating sustainable, scalable impact.

Currently, we are building AI-based solutions in the agriculture and health domains, such as pest management, maternal, newborn and child health, tuberculosis and COVID19.

Our projects are supported by leading philanthropies such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), USAID and Google.org.

Our accolades are as follows:

• Wadhwani AI was the only Google AI impact challenge winner from India in 2019, and the first organization in the Asia Pacific to welcome a cohort of Google Fellows.
• Our pest management solution, CottonAce earned an honorable mention at the Fast Company World Changing Awards 2021.
• In April 2022, CottonAce was announced as one of the five winners of the Global Change Award (GCA) in 2022.
• The Global Change Award is an endeavor by the H&MFoundation to transform fashion and turn the entire industry planet positive.

• Set the strategy and direction for our innovation efforts in public/global health.
• Identify organizations (government agencies, nonprofits, or corporates) to partner with, problem areas to focus on, and data sources relevant to those problems.
• Guide and collaborate with solution managers, engineers, and AI/ ML Scientists to narrow down problem areas to specific use-cases that we will build solutions for.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners and customers; plan and execute field experiments and pilots that are critical to our iterative approach.
• Work with external stakeholders to transition pilots in to scaled deployments, with the goal of maximum, far-reaching and long-lasting and impact..

• Should have 15-20 years of experience in healthcare consulting, specifically in implementing programs, piloting and improving solutions and services
• Proven track record of identifying challenges that require new solutions, understanding what works (and what doesn\'t), both on the ground, as well as programmatically
• Hands-on experience in designing or conceiving new interventions as a response to the identified problems
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage internal and external stakeholders (such as XYZ) in the public healthcare domain
• Proven track record of building and implementing scalable programs across organizations and at the grassroot level
• Deep knowledge and understanding of policies and programs within the healthcare sector
• You are viewed by your peers and customers as a leader in public health due to your experience and thoughtful understanding of its challenges
• You have an existing network of professionals and organizations that you can leverage for your work
• Preferred: You have experience scaling interventions or programs in multi-stakeholder environments, after successful pilots.
• Preferred: You have experience working with cross-functional teams to unearth new insights and build new solutions or services
• Preferred: You have exposure to technology - especially machine learning and data science
