In India, Jhpiego works across various states in close collaboration with national and state governments, providing technical assistance in the areas of family planning, maternal and child health, strengthening human resources for health, and non-communicable diseases. These programs are funded by USAID, Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Limited, UNICEF, World Health Organization, University of Manitoba, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Children\xe2\x80\x99s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), MSD for Mothers and others.
Integrated Women in Health Network (iWin) is a MNCH project funded by Takeda Global CSR. With the existing government systems, Jhpiego aims to establish Client-Centered, Continuous and Coordinated Care. Jhpiego will support the government in strengthening existing capacity and establishing the quality management structures under the initiative. Additionally, initiative will address systemic and operational challenges in the delivery of MNH care by leveraging new advancements, appropriate technology solutions, and financial mechanisms to create a robust and replicable \xe2\x80\x9cmaternal and child health care system\xe2\x80\x9d
Under the Project iWin, Jhpiego is hiring for Program Coordinators (MNH) based at multiple district locations in Madhya Pradesh. The position will be responsible for providing operational and management support in respective districts towards high quality MNCH services. S/he will work closely with the government officials, stakeholders, district and facility teams to ensure effective implementation of Project iWin. The position will report to Program Officer.

Responsibilities

\xe2\x96\xaa Provide programmatic and administrative support to the program officers to ensure timely conduction of orientation meetings, assessments, trainings and other program activities as per the project work- plan.
\xe2\x96\xaa Undertake preparation, including organizing and ensuring logistic support for providers\xe2\x80\x99 trainings, including onsite trainings to ensure quality.
\xe2\x96\xaa Support program officers in preparing program activity reports.
\xe2\x96\xaa Ensure timely supply of resources for POC diagnostics to ANC sites/facilities for implementation of the program.
\xe2\x96\xaa Support the team in identification of bottlenecks and streamlining the supply of such resources.
\xe2\x96\xaa Conduct trainings on commodity management and data collection and counseling services of frontline workers.
\xe2\x96\xaa Facilitate training of the data collectors at the project focus facilities/districts.
\xe2\x96\xaa Undertake visits to ANC platforms to assess site preparedness, service delivery and resource availability, and provide onsite support to frontline workers for effective organization of ANC services.
\xe2\x96\xaa As a part of during training and post-training follow-up, attend field calls on non-clinical concerns as well as facilitate interaction between the program team and participants to provide timely and quality support.
\xe2\x96\xaa Support in collection of training and service delivery data from field and ensure that it is updated and reported timely and regularly at the district and state level.
\xe2\x96\xaa Manage database for the trainings conducted including provider trained by cadre, and submit periodic reports to district and state offices.
\xe2\x96\xaa Work with the program teams, facilities and government counterparts to implement, monitor and report on training activities including M&E frameworks and reports.
\xe2\x96\xaa Develop tracking plan for supportive supervision visits following trainings to support the providers in establishing and institutionalizing the ANC services.
\xe2\x96\xaa Meet regularly with trained providers and district health officials including clinical staff for smooth project management and respond in a timely manner for meetings, reports and other requests.
\xe2\x96\xaa Facilitate project activities and work including training planning, logistic arrangements and other activity support to ensure smooth conduction of trainings and post-training supportive supervision visits.
\xe2\x96\xaa Perform or assume other duties as assigned by the supervisor to achieve the project goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Administration and/or Social Sciences.
  • Degree/ Diploma/ distance learning certificate in computers with excellent competency (Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Familiarity with the Indian health system, key stakeholders and relevant government policies/ strategies
  • 3-5 years\xe2\x80\x99 relevant work experience in public health programs preferably with community health components.
  • Experience in working with similar projects and knowledge of health and training issues is desirable.
