About the Program
The SRHR & Nutrition initiative aims to reduce the prevalence of anemia among adolescent girls and young women, improve menstrual health, promote community leadership in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), and strengthen convergence with government programs such as Poshan Abhiyaan and VHND. The program will reach
2,000 adolescent girls and women
across
15 villages in Giridih
district.
Key Responsibilities
Program Implementation & Coordination
Lead on-ground execution of all program activities in assigned villages -- health camps, awareness workshops, nutrition and SRHR sessions, and community engagement events.
Work closely with
community champions
,
master trainers
, and
government frontline workers
(ASHA, ANM, Anganwadi) for seamless implementation.
Facilitate creation of
Adolescent Clubs
and
Nutri-Gardens
to ensure community ownership and sustainability.
Support organization of
mass awareness campaigns
(miking, posters, community meetings, rallies) and
in planning and conducting village-level activities.
Ensure timely completion of all training sessions, community meetings, and follow-ups.
Liaise with
Project Manager and Subject Matter Experts
to ensure contextualized training and IEC material delivery.
Monitoring, Documentation & Reporting
Maintain detailed records of activities, attendance, IEC material distributed, and beneficiaries reached.
Collect baseline and endline data in coordination with the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team.
Submit monthly progress reports, field visit notes, and photo documentation.
Track and report indicators related to anemia reduction, SRHR awareness, and nutrition practices.
Community & Government Liaison
Build rapport with local panchayats, PHCs, schools, and community leaders.
Facilitate convergence with government programs such as VHND, Poshan Abhiyaan, PMSMA, etc.
Represent the organization in local coordination meetings and stakeholder forums.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate or Postgraduate in
Social Work, Public Health, Nutrition, Gender Studies, or Rural Development
.
~2-3 years
of experience in field-based project coordination, preferably in SRHR, nutrition, or community health.
Experience working with rural communities, women, or adolescents will be an advantage.
Proficiency in
Hindi
and local Jharkhand dialects; working knowledge of
English
preferred.
Strong skills in planning, documentation, community mobilization, and interpersonal communication.
Ability to use smartphones and digital tools for data entry and reporting.

Comfortable working in rural and field settings with frequent travel across villages.
Compensation
Rs 30000- 35000; Open to negotiation based on the experience and expertise
