About AOP:
The
Aftercare Outreach Program
supports young adults transitioning from Child Care Institutions by providing education, skills, employment training, and life skills. Since 2020, it has empowered 680 care leavers across India, offering long-term mentorship and support.
Role Overview:
The Program Coordinator will ensure the successful execution of AOP activities in the assigned cities, working closely with care leavers, government agencies, mentors, and partner organisations.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate all project activities and stakeholders at the city level
Support youth through education, skilling, mentoring, and placements
Maintain project budgets, reporting, and timely deliverables
Organise workshops and manage logistics
Build partnerships for training, internships, and job opportunities
Ensure internal coordination with other departments
Contribute to program strategy and quality documentation
Weekend availability required
Requirements:
Around 2 years of experience in a national/multi-state level NGO, preferably working with youth and skill-building programs
Experience working with underprivileged youth
Master's degree (also considered) in any recognised discipline; preference for Social Work from a reputed institute
Excellent verbal communication and documentation skills (client-facing and internal)
Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive, and tech tools
