YDF also supports our scholar alumni to make their higher education journey more relevant to their aspirations. About the Position The Program Associate will ensure equal access to secondary & higher education to the socio-economically weaker sections of society. S/he should set up a good liaison and rapport with all the officials involved in the fieldwork for the implementation of all activities relating to the Scholarship Support program. S/he should be able to lead operations providing end-to-end scholarship support to underprivileged students. Overview Job Type: Full-time Salary: 9 20,000 to 9 22,000 per month, commensurate with experience and skills Probation: Three months Office Working Days: Monday to Saturday Reporting To: Program Leader Location: Derabassi (Mohali) Travel: Field visits to schools/colleges and communities Key Responsibilities They are expected to take up the following responsibilities: Scholarship Engagement: Ensure the maximum number of scholarships for eligible students in the Private Scholarship Schemes. o Mobilize students, parents, community members, NGOs, institutions, and other stakeholders by spreading awareness through community meetings, door-to-door campaigns, IEC materials, etc., about multiple scholarship opportunities, eligibility & application processes. o Build relationships with schools/colleges and the communities to reach the maximum number of eligible scholars and the rest of the scholarship processes (application, verification, due diligence, disbursement) o Identify students\xe2\x80\x99 needs and financial hindrances to continuing higher education, provide hand-holding support, and make a case study. o Fill, collect & verify scholarship application forms and required documents for specific scholarships. o Maintain & regularly update the student\xe2\x80\x99s profile in the database for various scholarships. o Match different scholarships and their eligible applicant based on the prepared database and scholarship criteria. o Ensure the maximum number of eligible & verified applications is processed. o Work in the field extensively to support Program Leader and Associates. Scholarship Engagement: Ensure the maximum number of eligible applications for the Public Scholarship Schemes o Identify and partner with institutions for public scholarship schemes. o Conduct an awareness drive about the financial aid available via public scholarships. o Coordinate with selected institutions to ensure timely application, document collection, and tracking for public scholarship schemes. o Maintain & regularly update the student\xe2\x80\x99s profile in the database for various public scholarship schemes. o Collect the student\xe2\x80\x99s required documents and complete the online application on the state/central government scholarship portal. o Ensure that institutions verify and process the maximum number of eligible applications. Mentoring and Career Guidance: o Build relationships with institutions and finalize a timeline for career guidance sessions. o Conduct career guidance, life skills, scholarship engagement, etc., sessions with students. o Build relationships with students through sessions and help them to find career pathways, courses, colleges, etc. o Conduct psychometric tests with students and provide test reports. Data Management: o Maintain online/offline Excel databases of the student\xe2\x80\x99s profile and journey in the scholarship and career guidance sessions. o Regularly update the database of student\xe2\x80\x99s applications, documents, verification, and session data. o Prepare a dashboard of program status, scholarship process, and career guidance sessions. o Analyze the database and provide daily reports of the number of applications collected, applied, verified, etc., to the team and related work. Branding and Promotion: o Distribute leaflets and paste posters & banners in the communities and institutions. o Publish news in the online/offline media about the programs. o Organize scholarship distribution events in communities and institutions. o Capture, collect, and upload activities pictures on google drive and share them with program leaders. Reporting: o Prepare a plan for mobilization and data collection from the institutions and communities with the support of the Program Leader. o Support the Program leader in preparing monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual reports and PowerPoint presentations. o Prepare detailed activity reports performed by them. o Record and write success/case stories of scholars. o Support the Program team in conducting various surveys with stakeholders. Additional Explorations: o Create a healthy learning environment in the team. o Support team members in building a scholarship cell/center for community students. o Keep up to date about various public and private scholarship schemes. o Explore online/offline events, programs, and opportunities relevant to students, like guest sessions and debates in the scholarship cell/center. Desired Profile \xe2\x97\x8f Excellent computer skills (MS Excel, MS PPT, Google Spreadsheets, etc.) \xe2\x97\x8f Have experience in data management of the project. \xe2\x97\x8f 0-2 years of experience in youth empowerment and/or community-based operations \xe2\x97\x8f Proven ability to independently handle multiple diverse assignments simultaneously, successfully complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines while conducting high-quality work. \xe2\x97\x8f Excellent verbal & written communication in Hindi, English (and any local language) and rapport-building skills with stakeholders. \xe2\x97\x8f Have a personal bike/vehicle for commuting. \xe2\x97\x8f Ready to stay on ground/base location Derabassi (Mohali) \xe2\x97\x8f Women & candidates from disadvantaged backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply.
