The Akanksha Foundation is a non-profit organisation with the mission to build a network of high-performing and innovative schools to empower children & young adults from underserved communities and to influence the ecosystem. Akanksha currently serves 14,000 children and 5100 alumni through its 26 schools in Pune, Mumbai & Nagpur.

Position Summary:

The project associate will execute an exciting new program to develop aspiring teacher candidates, especially Akanksha alumni, into teachers at Akanksha. The Teacher Apprentice Program is envisioned to be a 4 to 12 month program of immersion in school and classroom training to prepare high potential alumni to be effective teachers at Akanksha. This person will be responsible to design and execute training programs, plan operations and logistics for training, conduct observations and provide feedback and conduct evaluation.

Specific responsibilities will include:

Recruitment & Selection (20%)

Execute recruitment and matriculation spaces to build awareness and interest in the program. Implement selection process to select ideal participants

Training & Coaching (40%)

Conduct residential onboarding and ongoing trainings. Observe participants and provide feedback and coaching Modify and enhance training and support based on trends to ensure participants meet desired benchmarks. Support on training and program design as needed

Operations (40%)

Plan and execute operations and logistics for residential onboarding training and ongoing training along with Program Associate. Liaise with school leaders to ensure smooth experience of participants in the school and to receive feedback on participants. Support to HR and Finance on any requirements regarding participants.

What you need for this role:

Deep belief and commitment towards Akanksha's vision and mission 1 - 3 years of relevant experience Should be someone who is organised, entrepreneurial, creative with strong people skills. Prior training, design or coaching experience is a bonus. Prior experience in teaching (preferable)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹468,000.00 - ₹528,000.00 per year

Pune, Maharashtra: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
