Job Title

Profiling Machine Operator

Department: Production / Manufacturing

Reports To :Production Supervisor / Shift In-Charge

Job Purpose

To operate and monitor profiling machines efficiently to produce components as per specified dimensions, quality standards, and production targets while ensuring safety and minimum wastage.

Key Responsibilities

Operate profiling machines (manual / semi-automatic / CNC as applicable) as per work instructions Set up machine parameters such as speed, feed, and cutting depth Load and unload raw materials safely Read and understand drawings, job cards, and production plans Measure finished products using vernier calipers, gauges, or templates Ensure profile accuracy and surface finish as per specifications Identify and report machine abnormalities or defects immediately Perform basic machine cleaning and routine maintenance Maintain production records, rejection details, and downtime logs Follow safety rules, PPE usage, and 5S practices Coordinate with quality, maintenance, and stores teams
Skills & Competencies

Knowledge of profiling operations (steel / metal sections preferred) Ability to read basic technical drawings Familiarity with measuring instruments Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills Attention to detail and quality consciousness Ability to work in shifts and meet targets
Qualification & Experience

ITI / Diploma (Mechanical / Fitter / Turner) preferred 1-3 years of experience in profiling or similar machine operation Freshers with ITI may be considered with training
Safety Responsibilities

Strict adherence to machine safety procedures Proper handling of tools and materials Immediate reporting of unsafe conditions

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
