Teaching experience at Undergraduate and Postgraduate Nursing levels
Relevant clinical experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology / Midwifery
Experience as
Associate Professor / Professor
preferred as per INC norms
Job ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Leadership
Plan, organize, and deliver
advanced theory and practical teaching
in Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing
Provide
academic and administrative leadership
to the department
Guide students in
clinical practice, case presentations, seminars, simulations, and skill labs
Evaluate student performance through
examinations, assessments, and viva voce
Mentor junior faculty and contribute to faculty development
Research & Scholarly Activities
Supervise
postgraduate dissertations and doctoral research
(where applicable)
Publish research articles in
peer-reviewed national and international journals
Present papers at
conferences, seminars, and workshops
Promote research, evidence-based practice, and innovation in maternal health nursing
Clinical & Professional Responsibilities
Oversee clinical teaching in
labour rooms, antenatal & postnatal wards, OTs, NICU, and community maternity services
Ensure adherence to
maternal and newborn safety standards
and quality nursing care
Encourage professional practice aligned with national maternal health programs
Administrative & Institutional Duties
Head or coordinate the
Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing
Participate in
curriculum design, syllabus revision, and academic planning
Ensure compliance with
INC, University, NAAC, and other regulatory bodies
Lead accreditation processes and inspections
Serve on academic councils, boards of studies, and institutional committees
Support community outreach programs related to
maternal and women's health
