Chandigarh University, one of the leading business schools in India, is seeking an experienced and motivated Professor & HOD- Accounting & Finance (ACCA Certified) to join its faculty. The successful candidate will be undertaking teaching and research activities while also providing administrative support in the department. The position requires a highly qualified professional who is an expert in accounting and finance and who is accredited with the ACCA.

A seasoned academician in the finance area with international accounting and finance certifications like ACCA, CFA, CIA, etc. A creative and analytical mind having a research and consulting background in the finance field with a minimum of 10- 15 years as a practitioner in finance, accounting, or financial consulting fields. Must be in academic leadership roles for minimum 5 years (practitioners with academic interest preferably).

The Head of Department is required to lead, manage and develop the department to ensure it achieves the highest possible standards of excellence in all its activities.

Maintain the general discipline of the students and staff of the Department.

To oversee the smooth functioning of the department and ensuring consistent provision for academic ambiance.

To manage and motivate all departmental staff, to enable the students to receive skilled education in the subject, in a positive, encouraging and effective working environment.

To ensure the development of the Curriculum to keep up to date with relevant changes and to encourage a wide range of activities to learn the subject with practical skill.

Appoint Class committees, Class Advisors, Faculty Advisors, etc. for the department and arrange to make teaching-learning studentcentric.

Oversee the teaching performance, research activities and funded projects of all faculty of his/her department.

Organize Seminars / Conferences / Symposium /Workshop / training programmes in topics of relevance and importance to the department with financial support from external agencies.

Be responsible and accountable for setting and advancing the academic strategy of the Department in line with Faculty and University strategic plans and direction

Engaging in collaborative work with external researchers.

Skills/experience in proposal writing or development of externally funded grants.

Strong research track record with good number of Publications in Scopus Indexed journals.

Experience teaching in an institution of higher education.
