Position Overview

The Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering will play a key role in delivering high-quality academic teaching, driving research contributions, and leading departmental initiatives. The ideal candidate must be academically strong, research-oriented, and experienced in guiding faculty, students, and research scholars.

Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Delivery

Deliver advanced courses in CSE for both UG and PG programs. Prepare curriculum, lesson plans, assessments, and innovative teaching methodologies. Mentor students, guide final-year projects, and support academic growth.

Research & Publications

Conduct high-quality research in emerging CSE domains. Publish research papers in SCI/SCOPUS indexed journals and conferences. Lead research groups, encourage funded projects, patents, and collaborations.

Leadership & Departmental Roles

Mentor Associate Professors and Assistant Professors in teaching and research. Lead departmental initiatives such as curriculum development, OBE implementation, and accreditation (NBA/NAAC). Organize seminars, conferences, hackathons, FDPs, and industry interactions.

Industry Collaboration & Innovation

Establish partnerships with IT companies, research labs, and technology organizations. Promote internships, industry-oriented projects, and skill-development programs for students.

Institutional Contributions

Support institutional planning, quality assurance, and administrative responsibilities. Participate in committees, academic boards, and policy formulation at the college level.

Required Qualifications (As per AICTE / VTU Norms)

B.E./B.Tech.

and

M.E./M.Tech.

in Computer Science & Engineering with

First Class or Equivalent

at both levels.

Ph.D. in CSE (Mandatory)

from a recognized Technical University. Required experience as per

AICTE/VTU norms

for the position of Professor. Proven record of quality publications, research guidance, and academic leadership. Experience in accreditation, outcome-based education, and departmental administration.

Preferred Candidate Profile

Strong expertise in areas such as AI, ML, Data Science, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing, Networks, Software Engineering, etc. Demonstrated ability to secure funded projects and develop research labs. Excellent communication, mentoring, and leadership abilities. Willingness to relocate and work full-time at Ballari (if not local).
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
