M.Sc Nursing (Child Health Nursing / Pediatric Nursing)
Ph.D in Nursing - Desirable

State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council (INC)
Experience
Minimum 15 years of total experience
after M.Sc Nursing, including:
Teaching experience in Nursing institutions (UG & PG level)
Relevant clinical experience in Child Health / Pediatric Nursing
Experience as
Associate Professor / Professor
preferred as per INC norms
Job ResponsibilitiesTeaching & Academic Leadership
Plan, organize, and deliver
advanced theory and practical teaching
for Undergraduate and Postgraduate Nursing students
Provide
academic leadership
to the Child Health Nursing department
Guide students in
clinical practice, case presentations, seminars, and simulations
Evaluate academic performance through
examinations, assessments, and research reviews
Mentor faculty members and junior teaching staff
Research & Scholarly Activities
Lead and supervise
postgraduate dissertations and research projects
Publish research articles in
peer-reviewed national and international journals
Secure and manage
research grants
(if applicable)
Present research findings at
conferences, seminars, and workshops
Promote a strong
research and evidence-based practice culture
Clinical & Professional Responsibilities
Oversee and guide clinical teaching in
pediatric wards, NICU, PICU, and community child health settings
Ensure high standards of
child-centered nursing care and patient safety
Maintain professional competence and encourage continuing education
Administrative & Institutional Duties
Head or coordinate the
Department of Child Health Nursing
Participate in
curriculum design, syllabus updates, and academic planning
Ensure compliance with
INC, University, NAAC, and other regulatory requirements
Contribute to accreditation processes and inspections
Serve on academic boards, committees, and institutional councils
Support community outreach and child health programs
