Faculty members of the Nursing Institute will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing education, ensuring clinical excellence, mentoring students, and contributing to academic and institutional development. The role involves teaching, research, clinical supervision, curriculum enhancement, and active participation in academic governance.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Teaching & Academic Delivery
Plan, prepare, and deliver theory and practical sessions in accordance with the INC/UPSMF curriculum.
Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and digital content to enhance learning.
Conduct internal assessments, assignments, viva voce, and examinations.
Ensure completion of course syllabus within the academic calendar.
Provide academic counseling and mentorship to students.
B. Clinical Training & Supervision
Supervise students during clinical postings across OPD/IPD, speciality units, and community health fields.
Demonstrate procedures and clinical skills as per nursing standards.
Ensure student discipline, documentation, and skill logbook completion.
Maintain coordination with nursing administration and clinical departments.
C. Student Evaluation & Performance Tracking
Assess student performance through practicals, written tests, and OSCE.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, internal marks, and progression.
Provide feedback and support for academic improvement.
D. Research & Professional Development
Participate in scholarly activities, research projects, publications, and conferences.
Guide students in research proposals, internships, and projects (as applicable).
Attend faculty development programs and continuous education activities.
E. Administrative & Institutional Responsibilities
Participate in committees, admissions process, academic meetings, inspections, and accreditation documentation.
Support curriculum revision and quality enhancement initiatives.
Maintain records, reports, and documentation as required by regulatory bodies (INC / UPSMF / University).
F. Discipline & Student Welfare
Promote ethical conduct, professional behavior, and adherence to code of conduct.
Support student welfare, grievance redressal, and discipline management.
3. Eligibility & Qualifications (Role-wise)
Professor (Nursing)
M.Sc. Nursing with minimum
10-15 years
of teaching experience, including
5 years as Associate Professor
.
Ph.D. preferred.
Strong leadership and academic management capability.
Associate Professor (Nursing)
M.Sc. Nursing with
8 years
of experience, including
3 years as Assistant Professor
.
Proven teaching and research record.
Assistant Professor (Nursing)
M.Sc. Nursing with
3 years of teaching experience
OR
Clinical experience as per regulatory norms.
Clinical Instructor

2 years of clinical/teaching experience

Tutor

Must hold a valid Nursing Council registration.
