Job Description

The Production Team Lead (Mechanical) is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily production activities within the mechanical manufacturing/assembly unit. The role ensures smooth workflow, adherence to quality standards, optimal resource utilization, and timely completion of production targets while leading and guiding a team of technicians/operators.

Key Responsibilities

Production Support

Assist in planning and monitoring daily production activities. Support the team in mechanical assembly, machine operation, and production line tasks. Ensure production runs smoothly by coordinating materials and tools.

Quality & Process Control

Check basic quality parameters during the production process. Report defects, deviations, or issues to the senior production team. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintain accuracy in work.

Team Coordination

Assist in guiding operators/technicians under the supervision of the Production Supervisor. Help in allocating tasks and ensuring timely completion of work. Maintain discipline and a safe working environment within the production area.

Equipment Handling

Learn to operate mechanical machines and tools safely. Assist maintenance team by reporting equipment faults. Follow preventive maintenance guidelines as instructed.

Reporting & Documentation

Update daily production data and maintain basic records. Prepare simple reports on productivity, materials used, and output quality.

Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety rules and use PPE as required. Maintain a clean and organized workspace following 5S practices.

Qualifications

Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (Freshers). Basic knowledge of mechanical components, machines, and manufacturing concepts. Ability to read simple mechanical drawings is an advantage.
