Job Description

Key Responsibilities

1. Workforce ManagementArrange, bring, and manage skilled and semi-skilled workers (cutters, stitchers, finishers, helpers).Allocate work to operators as per production plans.Monitor attendance, productivity, discipline, and workmanship.Train workers on quality standards, production methods, and safety practices.

2. Production SupervisionSupervise all shop-floor operations, including cutting, stitching, edge finishing, assembling, and packing.Ensure daily production targets are met without compromising quality.Coordinate workflow between departments to avoid bottlenecks.Maintain production records and daily output reports.

3. Material Inspection & Quality ControlInspect raw materials such as leather, lining, fittings, zippers, threads, adhesives, and accessories before production.Identify defects in leather (grain issues, scars, thickness variation, color mismatch).Conduct in-process quality checks at each stage of production.Inspect finished goods for stitching quality, edge finishing, alignment, measurements, and overall appearance.Reduce rejection, rework, and wastage.

4. Inventory & Material HandlingMonitor material usage and minimize wastage.Coordinate with stores for material issue and return.Ensure proper storage and handling of leather and accessories.

5. Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with Production Manager / Factory Head regarding schedules, manpower, and issues.Report production delays, quality concerns, or labor issues promptly.Assist in production planning for new designs or bulk orders.

6. Safety & DisciplineEnsure compliance with factory safety norms and housekeeping standards.Maintain a disciplined, organized, and efficient shop floor.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
