Required Skills and Knowledge

Design & Planning:

Read blueprints and technical drawings, and prepare effective work plans to ensure timely completion of projects.

Material Selection:

Choose and prepare appropriate materials like various types of wood, metal, laminate, fabric, and finishing products.

Fabrication:

Use hand tools (chisels, sanders) and power tools (table saws) to cut, shape, and assemble furniture components according to specifications.

Finishing:

Apply stains, paints, varnishes, and other finishes to enhance the appearance and durability of the furniture.

Quality Control:

Inspect finished products to ensure they meet high standards for quality, durability, and style.

Repairs & Restoration:

Repair and restore antique or damaged furniture pieces.
