Experience : 2 to 6 years

Job title ; Supervisor in Fabrication welding department

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership:

Supervise and coordinate daily activities for a team of welders and fabricators, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.

Production & Planning:

Organize work schedules, assign tasks based on employee capability, and ensure on-time delivery of projects.

Quality Control:

Inspect welded joints, monitor work for compliance with blueprints/technical drawings, and reduce scrap or rework.

Safety Compliance:

Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing OSHA regulations and proper use of safety gear.

Technical Support & Maintenance:

Troubleshoot welding equipment, ensure proper maintenance, and optimize welding processes for efficiency.

Resource Management:

Monitor inventory of welding consumables and materials.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience:

Proven experience as a welder (specifically MIG/TIG) in a sheet metal environment, with prior leadership or supervisory experience.

Technical Knowledge:

In-depth understanding of welding techniques, materials, and fabrication processes.

Blueprint Reading:

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

Communication:

Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
