Key Responsibilities

Manage Production Operations:

Oversee daily production activities, ensuring that production goals are met on time and within budget.

Lead and Develop a Team:

Motivate, mentor, and coach production staff; assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback and training.

Ensure Quality Control:

Implement and maintain quality systems, conduct inspections, and analyze production data to ensure products meet standards.

Maintain Health and Safety:

Enforce health and safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for the team.

Optimize Processes:

Identify areas for improvement, develop new methods, and implement process enhancements to boost productivity and reduce costs.

Manage Resources:

Ensure adequate and timely allocation of materials, equipment, and other necessary resources for production.

Monitor Equipment:

Ensure that all production equipment is operating smoothly and efficiently, and schedule regular maintenance as needed.

Problem-Solve:

Identify and resolve issues that arise during the production process to prevent delays and ensure targets are met.

Qualifications and Skills

Education:

Often requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field like engineering or manufacturing.

Experience:

Proven experience in a manufacturing or supervisory role is typically required.

Leadership Skills:

Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.

Communication Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with staff and management.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and relevant manufacturing software systems.
