The Production Supervisor - Steel Plant is responsible for supervising steel manufacturing and fabrication operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality compliance, safety, and optimal use of manpower and machines. The role demands hands-on shop-floor leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily steel production activities such as casting, molding
Ensure achievement of daily and monthly production targets.
Monitor process parameters including temperature control, cycle time, and material flow.
Control raw material usage and minimize rejection, scrap, and rework.
Manage shop-floor manpower, shift planning, productivity, and discipline.
Coordinate with Maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
Maintain production reports, shift logs, downtime records, and rejection analysis.
Work closely with Quality team to meet drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Support continuous improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency initiatives.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of steel manufacturing and fabrication processes.
Qualification & Experience.
3-8 years of relevant experience in a steel manufacturing or fabrication plant.
