Job Description

The Jewellery Supervisor will oversees daily operations within the department, ensuring that production, design, sales, and quality standards are consistently met. This role involves managing a team of artisans or sales staff, monitoring workflow, maintaining product quality, and ensuring timely delivery of jewellery pieces. The supervisor acts as a bridge between management and the team, ensuring smooth communication, efficiency, and adherence to brand standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervision & Coordination:

Oversee daily operations of the jewellery production/sales floor. Assign tasks and monitor the performance of staff or artisans. Ensure work is completed on schedule and meets company quality standards.

Quality Control:

Inspect jewellery pieces for design accuracy, craftsmanship, and finishing. Ensure all materials (gold, silver, gemstones, etc.) meet purity and design specifications. Identify defects and coordinate with relevant departments for corrections.

Inventory & Materials Management:

Maintain accurate records of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished jewellery. Track stock movement and assist in inventory audits. Coordinate with procurement for timely availability of required materials.

Team Management:

Train and guide team members in quality, safety, and efficiency practices. Maintain a positive and productive work environment. Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of staff.

Coordination with Other Departments:

Work closely with design, casting, setting, polishing, and QC teams to ensure workflow alignment. Liaise with management on progress reports, delivery schedules, and manpower needs.
